Andrew Walters, chairman of London Biggin Hill, says: “London Biggin Hill is and will remain exclusively focused on business aviation, in which we’re becoming an internationally recognised centre of excellence. However, our business has grown and must meet the diverse needs of our customers, resident businesses, regulators and the local community.
“I’m therefore delighted to welcome David Winstanley as our first CEO, who brings the world-class airport management skills that London Biggin Hill needs at this stage in its development. Under his leadership, I am confident that the airport will become an ever more successful contributor to the local economy and a driving force for the creation of quality, skilled employment.
“With the increasing success of our resident businesses, and with plans for the London Aerospace and Technology College well advanced, we are in an excellent position to achieve London Biggin Hill’s target of 2,300 jobs by 2030.”
