London Biggin Hill Airport upgrades Rescue and Fire Fighting Services to Category 6
London, UK – 1 May 2018: London Biggin Hill Airport is announcing a significant upgrade to its Rescue and Fire Fighting Services (RFFS) to Category 6, implemented today.
The move involves the introduction of a third Airport Rescue and Firefighting Service Watch at the airport which takes its RFFS status from Category 3 to 6. Previously, customers had to pre-book and pay for the service; now, it will be available as part of the normal airport service at no additional charge and on immediate demand.
Andy Patsalides, marketing manager, London Biggin Hill Airport, says: “This latest development is testament to our investment in and dedication to safety and service, particularly as movements in large cabin private jets at the airport continue to grow.
“Over the past 12 months, we’ve seen a significant acceleration of long-range and ultra-long-range jet movements, as customers from further afield choose London Biggin Hill as the fast-track route into London, thanks to our extended operating hours. As the airport expands we will continue to grow our capabilities to ensure we maintain our class-leading standards across the board.”
