Jetcraft hopes anti-Covid MicroShield 360 will set industry standard

Jetcraft is applying antimicrobial coating, MicroShield 360, to its entire fleet to combat the spread of Covid-19, Chad Anderson, President, Jetcraft told Corporate Jet Investor. The US operator is hopeful the move will set a precedent for the industry, which has proved pro-active in implementing measures to tackle this pandemic, said Anderson.
“We hope that by making MicroShield 360 available across all our inventory, other aircraft dealers will follow suit, so business aviation clients across the world can be protected from Covid-19,” he said. “While Jetcraft is the first dealer to use MicroShield, and the launch customer for F/LIST’s (manufacturer) application of it, we are in good company in ensuring our business aviation clients are well protected when flying privately. We’ve seen charter operators already put extensive measures in place.”
MicroShield 360 is described by Jetcraft as a ‘once and done’ antimicrobial coating. Combined with regular cleaning, the treatment ensures all surfaces are effectively self-disinfecting for over a year. MicroShield is colourless, odourless and safe for all interiors. It is eco-friendly, non-toxic and hypoallergenic, and won’t cause any cabin deterioration.
The MicroShield 360 treatment is available for all in-service aircraft purchased through the company, and has been applied to all eligible aircraft within Jetcraft’s owned inventory since July 14th.
Antimicrobial coating is just one of the ways Jetcraft is expanding its offering during the pandemic. Anderson explained: “We’re now offering virtual viewings and bringing aircraft directly to potential buyers for viewings, to prevent them needing to travel. Last month we announced an exclusive partnership with JSSI, providing six months of unscheduled maintenance cover for all in-service aircraft purchased through Jetcraft. These measures will enable our clients to feel confident when considering our aircraft before, during, and after purchase.”
