Jet Aviation and the WEF
Jet Aviation Zurich FBO handles majority of World Economic Forum aircraft and passengers
Jet Aviation’s Zurich FBO
handled the majority of aircraft and passengers attending the annual World
Economic Forum meeting, held from 25 – 29 January 2012 in Davos.
The company handled 726
movements and 1,600 passengers, Jet Aviation handled the exact same number of
aircraft as last year, which is a 10% increase in WEF aircraft handling since
2010.
The Zurich FBO was busy, the
facility handling 361 of the approximate 460 total business aircraft arriving
for WEF at the Zurich International Airport, including a few handled at the
nearby military airport in Dubendorf.
“We welcomed and assisted
most heads of state attending WEF,” says Robert Whitehead, director FBO Jet
Aviation Zurich. “Having received 3,457 WEF-related emails, averaging one every
three minutes, we spent 20 working days on WEF handling requests, which is a
great display of trust and confidence in our ability to provide the highest
quality service.”
The Jet Aviation Zurich
maintenance operation was also involved and managed numerous maintenance
requests from operators attending WEF.
