MemberSeat Exchange

The MemberSeat Exchange enables clients to request seats on already scheduled jet card member flights or offer available seats on their own booked trips.

Jet Linx has launched MemberSeat Exchange, a private jet flight sharing programme evolved from its OpenSeat Exchange.

First launched in 2006, OpenSeat Exchange allowed clients to view, request and share available empty seats on select upcoming flights while keeping every trip fully private within the Jet Linx ecosystem. The firm has 22 bases across the US.

The MemberSeat Exchange, accessed exclusively via the Jet Linx app, enables clients to request seats on already scheduled jet card member flights or offer available seats on their own booked trips, providing the opportunity to offset a large portion of travel costs.

Aircraft owner flights are also listed on the exchange, and participation is entirely optional to ensure the service only enhances the private aviation experience without impacting scheduling, availability or privacy.

Unlike public empty leg listings or third party marketplace platforms that broker flights to the general public, MemberSeat Exchange operates strictly within the vetted Jet Linx client community, between its network of jet card members and aircraft owners.

All flights within the programme are operated and managed by Jet Linx.

Earlier this month, Jet Linx resumed its Base Partner Program, an equity-based model where local investors participate in the company’s growth strategy in each of its locations. The programme, which was suspended in 2020, pairs Jet Linx with individuals in each of its markets who are users of private aviation and familiar with the local marketplace.

Walker said:  “We are local, trusted members of the Omaha community where we were founded, which gave us a unique advantage over our national competitors to win the local market when we started. We grew by partnering with local individuals nationwide who gave us this same advantage in the city they call home.”
