Jet Exchange breaks UK Pilatus PC-12 flight time record
Charter operator Jet Exchange has broken what is believed to be a UK record for number of hours flying the Pilatus PC-12.
The Luton and Denham Airport-based operator has now clocked up more than 7,000 operational flight hours on board the single-engine turboprop, making it the only UK AOC holder with significant PC-12 operating experience.
With Pilatus estimating a worldwide fleet of around 1,500 aircraft completing more than six million hours in the air, Jet Exchange’s achievement stands as almost double the global average.
Ian Austin, Managing Director, Jet Exchange, says: “With the combination of our PC-12 and AOC experience, adding the PC-12 type onto our existing AOC is a natural next step. We’ve established a solid reputation with owners and brokers for always being able to deliver thanks to our proficiency and attention to detail. Based on that, we’re looking forward to offering the type to the charter market, and providing a new opportunity for current and prospective owners to add value to their asset.”
Jet Exchange uses its PC-12 to travel extensively, including special airports such as Courchevel, Sion, St Johann, La Mole St Tropez and Saanen. Operations are supported by a highly experienced crew base including PC-12 instructors and examiners.
Additionally, Jet Exchange’s certification from DEFRA allows it to provide pet transport into Biggin Hill, Farnborough, London Stansted and London Oxford, and expects to add Liverpool and Manchester to the list in the near future.
Jet Exchange also operates a Challenger 604 for longer-distance journeys – including to the USA and Canada, where the operator holds approvals from the Canadian Transportation Agency, the US Department of Transportation, and the Federal Aviation Authority to conduct commercial operations in the USA. Jet Exchange is also a US Department of Homeland Security Approved Carrier on the Visa Waiver Program.
The company will be exhibiting at EBACE for the first time from 29-31 May 2018, on stand J35cd in the First-Time Exhibitor Pavilion.
