Jet Aviation launches operations at new Miami FBO
Jet Aviation operates 12 FBOs in the United States and 30 worldwide.
Jet Aviation has launched initial operations at its FBO at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport.
The new facility is Jet Aviation’s 12th FBO in the US and part of a global network of about 30 FBOs worldwide.
Full completion is scheduled for mid-2026.
Initial operations include a terminal, a 540,000sqft ramp able to accommodate larger-cabin, ultra-long range business jets, two taxiway connections into the airport system, fuelling with Jet-A, 100LL and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and drive-on access to the ramp via a private entrance.
“Jet Aviation set up its first FBO in the US in 1984, and since then we have been committed to evolving our presence in the region to support our customers when and where they need us,” says David Best, senior vice president, regional operations Americas.
“Miami continues to develop as a business aviation hub for both domestic and international travel, offering a global gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean. A footprint here enables us to continue to build on our legacy of seamless service across the US, and beyond.”
Safe, seamless
The completed facility will also feature an 8,500sqft Silver LEED-certified FBO building, electric vehicle charging systems, LED lighting and photovoltaic panels, on-site Customs and Border Protection, offices and 40,000 square feet of hangar space available for parking.

Established in Basel, Switzerland in 1967, Jet Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics with more than 4,500 employees and 50 locations worldwide.
Its offerings include aircraft management, aircraft sales, charter, completions, government programs, FBO, maintenance and staffing.
