Jet Aviation has celebrated the opening of its new FBO facility in the shared terminal at Dubai South.

The company, along with its joint venture partner the Al Mulla Business Group, hosted a grand opening ceremony at the FBO earlier this month.

“We are firmly committed to our customers in Dubai and the region, which our new Dubai South FBO demonstrates,” said Hardy Butschi, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation’s MRO and FBO operations in Dubai. “We also continue operating our award-winning MRO and FBO facilities at Dubai International Airport (DXB), and are extending our (DXB) maintenance approvals to support line maintenance services through the Dubai South FBO.”

As business aviation traffic is increasingly channelled through DWC, the 600 sq m FBO in the shared VIP terminal will allow Jet Aviation to meet current and future customer requirements. It features three customer lounges, a conference room, crew lounge and operations centre, two prayer rooms and shower facilities.

“Since opening in 2005, we have handled more than 25,000 aircraft in Dubai and were voted Best FBO in the Middle East and Africa in Professional Pilot magazine for the 7th time this year,” said Stefan Benz, SVP Regional Operations, EMEA and Asia. “We are very pleased to begin operations at Dubai South and look forward to welcoming customers to our new FBO where they can expect to receive the highest quality services in the comfort and style to which they are accustomed with Jet.”

Both Jet Aviation FBOs in Dubai have been audited and approved for registration to the IS-BAH standard.

Jet Aviation Dubai’s maintenance and FBO location was established in May 2005 as a joint venture company with the Al Mulla Business Group.  The company expanded its VIP handling services to Dubai South in 2012 and opened its new FBO at the shared terminal in November 2017.

Jet Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics and has almost 4,500 employees providing business aviation services at 30 airport facilities around the world.
