Jersey registry appoints technical services provider

The Jersey Aircraft Register (JAR) has chosen AVISA Aviation Safety Systems to provide technical services to the registry when it launches in 2015.

AVISA will perform regulatory airworthiness surveys and aircraft inspections, as well as advising the register on continuing airworthiness and flight operations.

“I am very pleased to see the appointment of such an experienced aviation consultancy as technical services provider to the JAR” said Minister for Economic Development, Senator Lyndon Farnham, “With its neutral fiscal regime, reliable infrastructure and highly respected level of financial, legal and fiduciary expertise, Jersey is ideally placed to provide a world- class aircraft registry, and this is an important step in delivering that proposal.”

“We are delighted to be working with Jersey on this exciting initiative, and we look forward to supporting the development of the JAR as a safe, professional and efficient option for the registration of high-value aircraft.” AVISA managing director Phil Stuckle said.
