Jerome Cottner joins Yingling as director of sales

Cottner previously served as president of Global Aviation Technologies in Wichita and president of Omni Aircraft Maintenance.
Business and general aviation MRO, parts and FBO provider Yingling Aviation has appointed Jerome Cottner as director of sales.
Cottner brings more than two decades of aviation experience to Yingling. He began his career in the US Marine Corps, leading flight line avionics teams supporting CH-53D helicopters across two combat deployments. Following his military service, Cottner held executive leadership roles across the MRO sector, serving as president of Global Aviation Technologies in Wichita and president of Omni Aircraft Maintenance.
Cottner said: “Yingling Aviation is an organisation with such strong leadership and most importantly, great people across all departments. I’ve been impressed by the experience, dedication and capabilities within the organisation, and I’m looking forward to working alongside the team to build on that foundation and continue growing the business.”
Cottner’s role will focus on expanding customer partnerships and aligning maintenance, avionics and aircraft support solutions directly with the operational needs of aircraft owners and flight departments, according to a press release.
“That rare combination of military discipline, hands-on avionics expertise, and executive MRO experience gives Jerome a practical understanding of what it takes to deliver on customer commitments,” said Kerry Heiss, vice president of sales and marketing.
Heiss joined the company in July, following the start of Gregg Fahrenbruch’s CEO tenure in March.
Fahrenbruch, who was president of the University of Florida’s skydiving club, has a background training US Navy SEALs to become paratroopers. He credited this experience to forming his leadership style in an interview with CJI back in April.
