Gulfstream appoints Jamie Fields in newly created position

Jamie FieldsGulfstream Aerospace has recently named
company veteran Jamie Fields to the newly created position of director, repair
and overhaul services.  Fields reports to Barry Russell, vice president,
customer support.

Fields is responsible for expanding and
enhancing Gulfstream’s repair and overhaul capabilities worldwide, particularly
for components.

Fields, a 26-year Gulfstream employee, was
most recently senior manager, maintenance, repair and overhaul.  In this
position, he oversaw and managed the infrastructure and support of Gulfstream
product support’s business office, tooling and ground support in Savannah. His
responsibilities included managing several back shops at the Gulfstream
Savannah service centre, including the auxiliary power unit, engine, composite,
hydraulic component repair, landing gear overhaul and windows/wheels/brake
shops.

“Jamie knows the ins and outs of Gulfstream
Product Support from virtually every angle,” said Russell. “Gulfstream’s
dedication to continued growth and expansion worldwide will benefit from his
vast experience and familiarity with the organization. We have a great deal of
confidence in where Jamie will lead us”.

He began his career at Gulfstream as a
member of the GIII production line.

Fields holds a bachelor’s degree in business
administration from California
Coast University
and is a licensed airframe and power plant mechanic.
