Jet Aviation Basel appointed as ASC for Honeywell wheels
Jet Aviation Basel and Honeywell Aerospace have signed an agreement appointing the Basel maintenance facility as an authorised repair and overhaul centre for Honeywell wheels.
Jet Aviation Basel and Honeywell Aerospace have signed an agreement appointing the Basel maintenance facility as an authorised repair and overhaul centre for Honeywell wheels.
With this appointment, Jet Aviation is authorised to perform tire changes and provide warranty repair and overhaul services for Honeywell wheels in the business and general aviation market place.
The wheels manufactured by Honeywell are installed on large aircraft such as Boeing 737 and Airbus A340. Jet Aviation Basel is already designated as an authorised service centre for both Airbus and Boeing.
“We are delighted to be selected by Honeywell as a preferred repair and overhaul center for its wheels,” said Johannes Turzer, vice president & general manger of the maintenance center at Jet Aviation Basel. “We are fully committed to meeting the highest quality standards, which this Honeywell designation acknowledges.”
Victor Valente, vice president of B&GA Honeywell Aerospace in EMEA said “The Wheel Shop at Jet Aviation Basel has a great deal of experience with wheel repairs and extensive overhauls, including sand-blasting, non-destructive testing, painting, re-assembly and dynamic balancing. We are pleased to have them repair and overhaul Honeywell wheels to ensure the safety of our landing systems.”
The wheel shop at Jet Aviation Basel also supports wheel maintenance for Meggitt, Goodrich and Messier – Bugatti.
