IADA appoints annual chairman and vice

The International Association of Aircraft Dealers (IADA) has chosen David Monacell as chairman and Zipporah Marmor as vice chairperson of the board for the coming year. The selections for the board of directors were made recently at IADA’s annual meeting held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Monacell replaces the outgoing Joe Carfagna Jr., president and CEO, Leading Edge, who becomes IADA chairman emeritus.

“The IADA Board of Directors is delighted that David Monacell and Zipporah Marmor have accepted these important leadership positions for the upcoming year,” said IADA, executive director, Wayne Starling. “And I am personally honoured that they and the other board members have agreed to their added responsibilities to guide the organisation going forward.”

Monacell is a partner in CFSJets, a Charlotte, North Carolina- based business aircraft broker. He has over 20 years of private aviation sales experience and he has been a partner in CFSJets since 2013.

New vice chairperson, Marmor is vice president, Aircraft Transactions, ACASS, headquartered in Montreal, Canada. Marmor also has more than 20 years of global business aviation experience spanning sales, management, & marketing.

The remainder of the IADA officers are board secretary, Toby Smith, vice president, JB&A Aviation, and treasurer, Phil Winters, vice president, Aircraft Sales & Charter Management, Western Aircraft.

In addition, serving as board members are Peter Antonenko, COO, Jetcraft; Chris Ellis, managing partner, Avpro, Inc., and Brad Harris, founder and CEO, Dallas Jet International.
