Honeywell connects new JetWave X system to Viasat network
Honeywell has successfully connected its new high-speed in-flight connectivity solution JetWave X over Viasat’s satellite network.
The new system provides business jets with uninterrupted coverage globally, comparable with connectivity typically found in homes and offices, said Honeywell.
“By successfully passing traffic over the Viasat network, JetWave X has reached a major milestone in our progress to complete its development and certification by the fourth quarter of this year,” said Jason Wissink, president, Services and Connectivity, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies.
“JetWave X will unlock the full capabilities of Viasat’s global network, including existing and future ViaSat-3 and GX satellites, to provide consistent, high performance and fully redundant connectivity, all backed by Honeywell’s global field support team.”
Honeywell will continue to support the current generation of JetWave systems that are found on about 2,000 business aircraft. It also expects existing systems will benefit from higher speeds due the recently announced JetXP experience plans.
JetWave X has already been selected by Bombardier and Dassault, with availability dates by platform to be announced in the near future, said Honeywell. Availability of JetWave X on additional business jet platforms is expected to be announced in the second half of 2025.

Earlier this month, Honeywell’s Aspire 350 satellite communications system was selected by Dassault Aviation for continued use across its Falcon family of business aircraft. Certifications for Aspire 350 use are now complete on Falcon 2000 and Falcon 6X, with Falcon 8X availability expected this month.
