Hawthorne plans to add hangar space and capability to handle executive aircraft up to BBJ size at FBO

Hawthorne Global Aviation Services has announced that it opened an FBO for private jets at Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip, New York, co-located with ExcelAire.

Hawthorne also announced plans to add hangar and office space to the FBO, with space to accommodate the Boeing Business Jet and other business jets such as the Gulfstream 650, Falcon 7X and Bombardier Global 6000, 7000 and 8000.

“Expanding into the New York Metro market is a natural fit for us, providing private jet travelers with the highest levels of service in this FBO, whether they are traveling in North America or abroad,” Steven Levesque, president and chief executive of Hawthorne.

Levesque added, “For private jet travelers, MacArthur Airport and our FBO is a smart alternative to the other airports in the Metro New York City area that are congested and expensive.  At MacArthur, taxi delays and ATC delays are almost unheard of – making for hassle-free and time-efficient travel.  Jets can be at our ramp in five minutes from their wheels touching down, and departures are equally fast and hassle-free.”
