Hawker Beechcraft Services reports on Hawker 800XPR upgrade at Chester
Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS) reports
that the upgrade on the first Hawker 800XPR is progressing and continues in the
development programme and is currently being fitted with winglet at the Chester facility in the United Kingdom.
HBS announced the first Hawker 800XPR
customer, JoinJet of Denmark during the recent National Business Aviation
Association (NBAA) meeting earlier this year.
Once the winglets are fitted, the
aircraft will be flown to the United
States where the Honeywell TFE-731-50R
engines will be installed, then flight testing and certification of the upgrade
will follow with FAA certification expected in 2011. EASA certification should
be granted later in 2011.
