Gulfstream set to deliver first Chinese G280 to Mandarin Air
Almost a year after gaining Chinese certification, Gulfstream is set to deliver the first of its G280s to a Chinese customer.
Gulfstream will deliver the first Chinese G280 later in April, with Beijing-based operator Mandarin Air set to receive the first of three G280s due to be delivered to Chinese customers before the end of the month.
Starting its life as the G250, the Gulfstream G200 replacement later changed its name to the G280 to appeal more to Chinese customers and first gained Chinese certification in July 2013.
Mandarin Air will be the first Chinese customer to receive thier G280, while Minsheng International Jet says it will receive two aircraft, also by the end of April.
Gulfstream also took the opportunity to celebrate delivery of a Gulfstream G550 to Mandarin Air in March 2014, with B-8298 appearing in the static display, alongside the rest of the Gulfstream product line.
