Gulfstream Aerospace has opened a new sales and design center at the company’s facility in Dallas.

The new center enhances the customer experience during the sales and design stages of a Gulfstream business jet by allowing them to see and evaluate potential paint schemes, cabin layouts and interior cabin selections.

Gulfstream Dallas comprises a completions center for Gulfstream mid-cabin aircraft — the new super mid-size G280 and the wide-cabin, high-speed G150 — and a service center for all Gulfstream aircraft.

“With the entry-into-service of the G280, we wanted to offer mid-cabin customers cabin-design capability at the same location where their aircraft is being completed,” said Tray Crow, director, Interior Design. “What they will find is a clean and neutral space that is comfortable and conducive to the process of choosing an aircraft and personalizing its interior to suit their needs.”

The new facility has a mobile visualisation application called DesignBook, this allows customers to experiment with cabin layouts, colours and different fabrics.

“This technology enables our Interior Design teams to create a highly realistic rendering of a cabin in real time,” Crow said. “With the click of a mouse or touch of a screen, customers can see how different fabrics and colors look together in a particular cabin configuration. We can adjust and refine until the customer gets the desired interior.”

The Gulfstream Dallas Sales and Design Center is staffed by designers, Completion Sales executives and support staff.
