Gulfstream offers autobraking on G650 and G650ER
Gulfstream Aerospace is offering the autobrake functionality as standard on Gulfstream G650 and G650ER aircraft.
Autobrakes allow for a faster reaction time than a pilot response and give pilots the ability to select one of several braking levels, depending on the situation.
“We are pleased to provide the operational benefits of autobraking to existing and future G650 and G650ER customers.”
Dan Nale, senior vice president, Programs, Engineering and Test, Gulfstream said: “We are pleased to provide the operational benefits of autobraking to existing and future G650 and G650ER customers. Adding this technology to an already superior aircraft is another way we deliver on our promises and exceed customer expectations. Anytime we have an opportunity to improve the customer experience, we take advantage of it.”

Gulfstream has begun autobrake system installations on in-production aircraft. Autobrakes will also be made available as an option for aircraft already in service. The installation will be free for a period of 36 months if the aircraft is within the labour warranty period and the work is performed at a Gulfstream service center, Gulfstream-factory authorised service center or a Gulfstream-authorised warranty facility.
