Gulfstream Aerospace recently celebrated five years of operations at Gulfstream Beijing, its service centre in China.

The facility, a joint venture between Gulfstream and HNA Technic, was the first factory-owned business jet service centre in China when it opened in November 2012.

“Gulfstream Beijing is a valuable resource for Beijing-based operators and those travelling through China. As the Gulfstream fleet in the Asia-Pacific region continues to grow and mature, we will enhance and add to the services we provide at Gulfstream Beijing.”

Derek Zimmerman, president of Gulfstream Product Support, said: “Gulfstream Beijing is a valuable resource for Beijing-based operators and those travelling through China. As the Gulfstream fleet in the Asia-Pacific region continues to grow and mature, we will enhance and add to the services we provide at Gulfstream Beijing.”

Zhang Zhigang, chairman of HNA Technic, added: “As a shareholder of Gulfstream Beijing, HNA Technic will continue to support its growth. The continuous extension of the aviation maintenance industry chain over the last several years has enabled our company to expand and add services and capabilities. We look forward to adding additional resources and exploring synergies with our partner for the ongoing development of Gulfstream Beijing.”

More than 190 Gulfstream aircraft are based in Greater China, while the company’s Asia-Pacific fleet has grown to more than 330.

Gulfstream Beijing is located at Beijing Capital International Airport, and comprises hangar space, offices and back shops, and training and warehouse space. It has maintenance approvals from China, the US, Hong Kong, Macau and the Cayman Islands for all Gulfstream large-cabin aircraft, along with the super midsized G280 and mid-cabin G200.
