Go Rentals has made two key appointments with the arrival of Shawn O’Brien as chief operating officer and Martin Elliott as chief financial officer.

O’Brien will be responsible for leading and scaling all aspects of Go Rentals’ operations, working closely with CEO Kaye Gitibin and co-founder and president Kavous Gitibin.

Bringing more than a decade of experience from Bain & Company, O’Brien has been advising Go Rentals externally for two years. In that time assisted the company in securing its partnership with Signature Aviation.

“I look forward to helping the company achieve new levels of growth while honouring and building on the phenomenal customer experience that Go provides today,” said O’Brien. “This is one of those unicorn opportunities to apply my differentiated skills in an industry I’m passionate about, with a company I admire, and in partnership with a team I personally value.”

Elliott comes to Go Rentals following his tenure as chief financial officer of the global womenswear brand Spanx. In his new role, Elliott will be responsible for driving cashflow growth, as well as identifying new opportunities for expansion and innovation.

“I was drawn to Go Rentals by the remarkable leadership team and the impressive growth trajectory of this extraordinary company,” said Elliott. “The culture of excellence here is unmistakable—it’s clearly a driving force behind the company’s continued success. Go Rentals is a special place, and I’m excited to be part of its future.”

In late July, Go Rentals became the first luxury car rental service to be certified under the National Air Transportation Association’s (NATA) Safety 1st programme.

NATA’s Safety 1st Training Center offers 15 certifications ranging from basic apron safety to aircraft oxygen servicing to human factors. All certifications require retraining every two years.

“Safety and service have always been at the core of Go Rentals,” said Gitibin, CEO at Go Rentals. “Our certification under NATA’s Safety 1st programme is more than just a milestone — it’s a clear demonstration of our dedication to aligning with the highest industry standards. We’re honoured to be recognised by such a respected aviation organisation.”
