General Dynamics appoints Daniel Clare president of Jet Aviation
General Dynamics has announced the
appointment of Daniel Clare to president of Jet Aviation on 1 July. Clare
will report to Joseph T Lombardo, executive vice president of General Dynamics’
Aerospace group. Clare, a vice president of General Dynamics will
succeed Peter Edwards who had announced his departure from Jet Aviation.
Clare has been senior vice president and chief financial officer for Gulfstream
Aerospace Corporation, another General Dynamics business unit since 2000. In
that position he was responsible for providing financial services and support
to all Gulfstream operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, financial
reporting and analysis. He also was responsible for the company’s information
technology organization.
Clare joined Gulfstream in 1998 as director of finance for Aircraft Services.
Prior to joining Gulfstream, he was vice president and chief financial officer
for Liberty Technologies.
In making the announcement Lombardo said,
“Dan is an able and talented leader who has a deep understanding of the
aviation services industry, its customers and opportunities. Dan has been
instrumental in implementing the financial discipline that supports
Gulfstream’s performance across the business cycle, and that experience will be
valuable as he works with the Jet Aviation team to continue exceeding
customers’ expectations for world-class service.”
