Gulfstream G650 sets another speed record
The demonstration G650 aircraft makes longest duration non-stop flight and sets a city pair record between Melbourne to Abu Dhabi.
The demonstration Gulfstream G650 aircraft has made its longest duration non-stop flight since it entered service in late 2012, setting a city pair record between Melbourne and Abu Dhabi.
The speed record was set as the demonstration aircraft departed Avalon 2013 for the Abu Dhabi Air Expo.
Pending approval by the US National Aeronautic Association, this record will be sent to the Federation Aeronautique Internationale in Switzerland for recognition as a world record.
The Gulfstream G650 has a range of 7,000 nm (12,964 km) at Mach 0.85. At Mach 0.90, the G650 can fly 6,000 nm (11,112 km).
