Freestream arranges first G650 operating lease

Freestream Aircraft has arranged the first public G650 operating lease.
Freestream Aircraft has placed a Gulfstream G650 private jet on a seven year operating lease with a US investment company.
The needs of the original buyer, a North American mining company, had changed since the ordered the aircraft in 2008.
Although Gulfstream is keen to stop speculators from flipping G650s, its anti-speculation clauses allow for true operating leases as the ownership of the aircraft does not change.
Freestream Aircraft arranged the first sale of a G650 in July 2013, when Bernie Ecclestone and his wife Fabiana Flosi sold their aircraft to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, a Thai businessman. Their aircraft is believed to have sold for around $72 million – a $10 million profit on the $59 million 2008 list price.
Freestream Aircraft is a leading business jet broker and advisory firm. It was founded in 1992 by Alireza Ittihadieh.
