Richard Dabkowski has been appointed as director of quality assurance at Flying Colours, following Al Keeling’s retirement.

He is responsible for all aspects of quality control relating to matters of airworthiness for maintenance, manufacturing, completion, and the Canadian National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Programme (NADCAP).

He will be based at the company’s Peterborough, ON, facility and will report directly to Tony Barrett, vice president of technical services.

Dabkowski (pictured) has more than 30 years’ experience in aviation. He joined the Flying Colours maintenance team in 2011 following nine years as an independent consultant, carrying out aircraft maintenance record audits and providing technical consulting services for aircraft imports/exports.

Barrett said: “Richard’s extensive experience will ensure that our operations will continue to function at the high standards for which we are known. His expertise will prove invaluable to the business as we continue to develop our services and team.”

Dabkowski added: “With the continued expansion of Flying Colours services, it is important that we maintain the superior quality of all our procedures. I’m looking forward to the challenge of ensuring that the established processes are maintained, as well as improved, and that the quality of what we do continues to exceed expectations as the business grows.”
