Flightstar LearJet ADS-B STC receives international approvals

Flightstar’s ADS-B out Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the LearJet 40 / 45 has received additional international approvals.

The company received FAA approvals for the STC in May 2016, but can now begin offering the solution in Europe, Brazil and Mexico.

Flightstar began offering the STC in 2015 as an alternative to the Bombardier ADS-B service bulletin.

The manufacturers offering costs up to $300,000, whereas the Flightstar solution could cost $60,000, depending on what equipment needs replacing.
