Biggin Hill Airport welcomed the first Gulfstream G650 corporate jets to visit the airport last week while en-route from the US to India.

Requesting a rapid turnaround after a transatlantic flight from the east coast of the USA, the captain asked Biggin Hill Executive Handling for terminal-side parking, fuelling and passenger services within a 45-minute stopover before departing early evening on a non-stop flight to Goa, India.

Robert Walters, business development manager, said that the new generation of business jets such as the G650 will enable business executives to fly further and faster in the future.

“The new Gulfstream has a transcontinental range of 7,000 miles and a cruise speed capability of Mach 0.85.  Our  team were thrilled to be handling this mission and noted the benefit of the quiet technology engines on take-off – the shape of things to come” Walters said.
