Nigeria will welcome guests to its first ever business aviation conference in May, as Evergreen Apple Nigeria, the country’s first FBO, gets ready to host The Nigerian Business Aviation Conference in Lagos on 7 May 2013.
Backed by The African Business Aviation Association and chared by Corporate Jet Investor’s editor, Alasdair Whyte, the event will bring together HNWIs, OEMs, financiers, lawyers, regulatory bodies and industry leaders to discuss the challenges of developing business aviation in Nigeria.
Topics on the agenda will include opportunities for growth, trip planning and security, and a manufacturers’ panel focusing on aircraft selection.
Segun Demuren, CEO of Evergreen Apple Nigeria, told Corporate Jet Investor that the event is a way of addressing a number of unanswered questions surrounding the region.
“After being in this industry for two or three years, we surveyed our clients and high-net-worth individuals in Nigeria to find out what questions they had. There were so many issues brought up – regarding finance, registration and security – there was no way that we could resolve them,” said Demuren. “We want to bring those issues out and now is the best time to do that.”
The event will take place at the Wheatbaker Hotel and will finish with a gala dinner.
