Falcon adds first Gulfstream G450 to fleet
Falcon, the aviation division of Alex Group Investment, has added a Gulftsream G450 to its fleet.
It is the first Gulfstream the company has added to its fleet as it begins to focus on focus on long-range, large-cabin aircraft. Falcon recently retired its Dassault 2000 EX to make way for the G450, as well as other long-range aircraft.
Sultan Rashit Abdulla Rashit Al Shene, founder and chairman of Alex Group Investment, said: “We listen closely to what our clients want, their preferences guide everything we do. The arrival of the Gulfstream G450 is our way to show that we are always one step ahead in meeting their expectations. This is our gift to them, a promise that with Falcon Luxe, they have everything they need in the sky.”
The G450 offers a range of just under 4,000nm carrying up to 14 passengers. It also has a maximum cruise speed of 651mph (1,048kph) and a cruising altitude ceiling of 45,000ft.
Meanwhile, last month Falcon Luxe, a subdivision of Falcon, began offering clients “block hours” business jet access as an alternative to traditional chartering. The concept enables clients to pre-purchase a set number of flight hours and draw from them as needed.
“Today, people want flying to be simple,” said Al Shene. “Block hours are our way of making that happen. You don’t have to think about availability, pricing, or paperwork every time. You just fly when you need to, and it works.”
