Flight Ambulance International chooses Al Bateen as preferred Middle East hub

German air ambulance and VIP operator FAI has selected Al Bateen Executive Airport as its preferred hub in the Middle East.

FAI Flight Ambulance CL604Flight Ambulance International (FAI), a German air ambulance and VIP operator, has selected Al Bateen Executive Airport as its preferred hub in the Middle East.

As part of the arrangement, two air ambulance aircraft, a Challenger 604 and  Learjet 60 will be permanently available at Al Bateen Executive Airport, and served by German medical teams.

A fully-equipped air ambulance Learjet 60 can accommodate a medical team, one patient and two patient escorts, while the Challenger 604 (pictured) carries 2 intensive care patients plus Med Team and up to 8 accompanying passengers. Both aircraft have the capability of carrying critically ill patients between Abu Dhabi and anywhere in the world.

FAI currently operates Europe’s largest Learjet fleet and one of the world’s largest Bombardier fleets. The FAI fleet currently consists of 21 Jets including 13 Learjets, 3 Challenger 604, 3 Global Express, 1 CRJ 200 and one Falcon 7X.
