The division is reporting revenues have increased by 40% in the first quarter of 2013 when compared to the same period last year in 2012.
The financial numbers indicate that FAI might expect annual revenues of around €30m ($39m) created by about 750 missions, which indicates an increase of 30% in air ambulance flights versus the first three months of 2012.
FAI has a dedicated fleet of air ambulance jets including 2 Bombardier Learjet 35s, 2 Learjet 55XRs, 2 Learjet 60s and 2 Challenger 604 aircraft (pictured on the left).
This large air ambulance fleet of jets is probably the largest fleet in Europe dedicated to this kind of medical transportation. Not only a large air ambulance operator in Europe but Flight Ambulance is most probably one of the largest in the world.
FAI expects an annual revenue of above €70m ($90m) from all aviation divisions and that the other divisions (Public Services, VVIP-Charter, Aircraft Management and Maintenance) should create revenues this year of at least €40m ($52m).
