The NBAA has reported that the FAA has revised the notice to airmen regarding the Presidential visit to Orlando.

The NBAA has reported that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is publishing a revised notice to airmen (NOTAM) concerning President Obama’s visit to Orlando immediately ahead of NBAA’s Annual Meeting & Convention, being held from 30 October to 1 November.

The revisions to the planning for the president’s visit are being made to accommodate the movements of Hurricane Sandy over the weekend. The situation is fluid, the times contained in the new NOTAM are tentative, and the FAA’s guidance may change over the course of the weekend.

The President is likely to arrive in Orlando on the evening of Sunday, 28 October, prior to his campaign event Monday, 29 October.

The NBAA is in ongoing communications with representatives from the FAA and with government security officials. At this time, the Association understands that gateway airports will be put in place to allow for continued operations into the Orlando area.

The NBAA will keep its members advised as the situation progresses. Specific instructions on how to obtain reservations for use of gateway airports will be further disseminated by NBAA when available. As always, the most current TFR information is available on the Association’s web site.
