The FAA has granted certificates to the two newest Falcon business jets, the Falcon 2000S and Falcon 2000LXS. The aircraft have only just received their EASA certification.

The Falcon 2000S is fitted with EASy II avionics, new FalconCabin HD+ system and a new cabin interior designed by the BMW Group DesignWorksUSA. The aircraft with six passengers has a range of 3.350 nautical miles and can cruise at 45,000 feet.

The Falcon 2000S will begin deliveries in the second quarter of 2013.

The Falcon 2000LXS was announced in October 2012 and has a range of 4,000 nautical miles. The aircraft combines the short field performance of the 2000S with the longer range capabilities of the 2000LX. Like the Falcon 2000S, the 2000LXS is fitted with the EASy II avionics suite and FalconCabin HD+ entertainment system and customers can specify the interior of their choice. The Falcon 2000LXS will replace the 2000LX by the end of 2013.

Each aircraft will be certified to land at London City Airport, one of the world’s most challenging airfields.
