Equinox Charter has appointed Volker Meissner (pictured above) as senior air charter strategist and promoted Giovanni Manzella to head of operations.

With more than three decades of experience across charter brokering, compliance and sales leadership, Meissner will support Equinox Charter’s growing portfolio of clients.

Meissner’s career includes a senior sales leadership position at ARGUS International. During this time, he played a key role in developing the Certified Air Charter Broker Program which Equinox Charter recently renewed following an on-site audit.

He also served as deputy chairman and council member of BACA (now The Air Charter Association).

“What drew me to Equinox is its commitment to excellence and a mindset that never seems to stand still,” said Meissner. “My focus will be on building on that foundation, continually raising standards and finding new ways to deliver value and confidence to clients.”

Elliot Bottomley, MD at Equinox Charter, added: “Having Volker join us is a major milestone for Equinox. Volker’s knowledge, credibility, and commercial acumen will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our presence across various sectors and expand our client base.”

Alongside Volker’s appointment, Manzella has been promoted from operations manager to head of operations. Since joining Equinox, Manzella has been key in enhancing the company’s operational systems, according to Ian Patterson, CEO at Equinox Charter.

“Gio’s promotion is thoroughly deserved,” said Patterson. “His unique blend of discipline, attention to detail and problem-solving in a world of complex flight operations make him an invaluable asset to the business. Having Gio lead our operational team ensures that we maintain our reputation for reliability and client-focus as we continue to grow.”
