Aircraft manufacturer Emivest Aerospace has filed for Chapter 11 protection in the United States.

Emivest Aerospace has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States.

Emirates Investment and Development of Dubai purchased 80% of Sino Swearingen in 2008, the makers of the SJ-30 business jet, and changed its name to Emivest Aerospace.

Emivest’s US headquarters are in San Antonio International and it runs a manufacturing facility at Martinsburg, West Virginia.

The company is able to trade normally under Chapter 11 and intends to restructure the business.
