Emirates Investment and Development of Dubai purchased 80% of Sino Swearingen in 2008, the makers of the SJ-30 business jet, and changed its name to Emivest Aerospace.
Emivest’s US headquarters are in San Antonio International and it runs a manufacturing facility at Martinsburg, West Virginia.
The company is able to trade normally under Chapter 11 and intends to restructure the business.
