Embraer adds multi-function spoiler and offers new interior choices for Phenom 100 entry-level jet.

Embraer announced an offering of new standard and optional features for its Phenom 100 entry-level jet. The company made the announcement at LABACE 2013 in São Paulo.

The new standard features includes a multi-function spoiler that can act as a ground spoiler and a speed brake and 11 new interior collections that offer greater varieties of colour choices and materials. The optional premium seat allows passengers to swivel, lateral and forward movement. and11 new interior collections for all future deliveries.

Customers have the option for a new refreshment centre as an option which replaces the standard wardrobe opposite the entry door. It features storage space for drinks, snacks, glasses, ice, trash and an optional hot jug. Embraer is also offering an optional stowage compartment above the lavatory at the back of the aircraft. Embraer claim it will be particularly useful to customers who chose to have the optional fifth seat.

“The new block-point changes are exciting and reflect how we listen and respond to customers,” said Ernest Edwards, president of Embraer Executive Jets.

“The Phenom 100 is already the fastest and roomiest in the entry-level class. These changes make it more efficient and luxurious to meet the increasingly discerning needs of owner-operators, corporate flight departments and leading fractional providers who have received this aircraft so well.”

Embraer delivered the first Phenom 100 in 2008. A new Phenom 100 costs around $4.5 million and can carry up to six passengers with one pilot. With four passengers it can fly 1,178 nm (2,182 km) allowing owners to fly from Beijing to Tokyo or Miami to New York.
