Embraer reduces cabin altitude on Legacy jets

Embraer is reducing the maximum cabin altitude on the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 business jets.

From next year, their cabin altitudes will be 5,800 ft (1.768 m) when flying at 45,000 ft (13.716 m), down from 6,000 ft (1.828 m) now.

Aircraft with the new cabin altitude will start being delivered in the first quarter of 2018, when the upgrade will also become available to the installed fleet.

Launched in 2008, the Legacy 500 and Legacy 450 entered the market in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
