Embraer delivers 25 business jets in the third quarter of 2013

Embraer looks in a good position to meet its yearly expectations after delivering 25 business jets in the third quarter of 2013.

Embraer delivered 25 business jets during the third quarter of 2013 to bring the company’s total number of deliveries for first nine months of 2013 to 66.

The 25 deliveries from the third quarter, consists of six Phenom 100 light jets, 15 Phenom 300 light jets and four Legacy 650 large jets, while the 66 year-to-date orders consists of 52 light jets and 14 large jets.

In February 2013, Embraer announced that it expected to 80-90 light executive jets and 25-30 large executive jets throughout the year, meaning that the company needs to deliver an additional 39 business jets in the final quarter to meet its minimum expectations.

Although this figure would account for almost 40 per cent of the company’s deliveries for the year, Embraer made half of its 2012 deliveries in the final quarter alone and historically, the company has performed better towards the end of the year.

Also encouraging for Embraer, is the company’s assertion that it is on track to deliver the first Chinese-assembled Legacy 650 business jet before the end of the year, after the aircraft made its maiden flight in August.
