Embraer delivers eight business jets in Q1 2023

Embraer has delivered eight business jets in the first quarter of 2023, the firm has announced.

Along with the delivery of seven commercial jets, this total volume represents 7% growth compared with the same period of the previous year. As of March 31st this year, the company’s order backlog totalled $17.4bn.

Embraer also confirmed it had delivered 59 Phenom 300 (pictured) series light jets in 2022. This makes the aircraft the best-selling light jet in the world for the 11th year in a row, according to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA).

The Phenom 300MED aircraft received Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Q1 too.

The Phenom series has accrued more than 700 deliveries in total. Embraer has delivered more than 8,000 aircraft since the OEM was founded in 1969. The company claims that every 10 seconds an Embraer-manufactured aircraft takes off somewhere in the world, transporting over 145m passengers a year.

Meanwhile, The company  revealed three new customers for the use of Beacon, the maintenance coordination digital platform that connects resources and professionals for a faster return-to-service.

It has also expanded membership of the Energy Advisory Group having signed a collaboration agreement with Air New Zealand for next-generation sustainable aircraft programmes.
