Embraer delivered 25 executive jets in Q2
Embraer delivered 25 of its executive jets in the second quarter of 2019, taking its tally for the year’s first half to 36 deliveries.
Deliveries included 15 Phenom 300s and four Phenom 100s.
During the first half of 2019, Embraer delivered 36 executive jets, a rise of 16% over the 31 jets delivered in the first half of 2018.
Although Embraer does not split its backlog between commercial and executive jets, it says that its backlog increased in the second quarter, largely due to increased demand for its new Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 business jets.
The Praetor 600 received its certifications from the European and US authorities during the second quarter, enabling the first delivery to take place.
The first aircraft was delivered to a customer in France.
In May Embraer said it was expecting the smaller Praetor 500 to be certificated in the third quarter of 2019.
