Embraer maintains $7.3bn backlog at end of Q3

Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer reported a 65% year-over-year increase in executive aviation order backlog of $7.3bn at the end of the third quarter.
However, on a sequential basis, the third quarter backlog saw slight moderation of 2% quarter on quarter due to high base.
Deliveries during the quarter stood at 41 units – unchanged from 41 in the same period of last year. Breakdown showed the company delivered: three Phenom 100s, 20 Phenom 300s, 11 Praetor 500s and seven Praetor 600s. Overall, during the nine months, the company has delivered 102 units – up from 86 in the same period of last year – an increase of 18.6%YoY.
“Consequently, during the 9M25 [the first nine months of this year], deliveries totalled 102 aircraft or 68% of the midpoint of the full year guidance (between 145 and 155 in 2025), 11 percentage points above the 57% average recorded for the period over the past five years,” the company said in its announcement. “Looking forward, we expect additional tangible results from our production levelling initiative in 2026.”
“Embraer achieved a defining moment in the company’s history in August with its 2,000th business jet delivery,” it added. “The milestone aircraft was a Praetor 500 – the furthest and fastest-flying midsize jet in the world – delivered to an undisclosed corporate flight department client.”
Overall, the company booked a record backlog of $31.3bn at the end of third quarter – highest ever for the company – with total deliveries hitting 62 units (41 in executive aviation, 20 in commercial aviation and one in defence and security).
The company will announce financial results for the third quarter in the coming weeks.
