Chinese private jet operator Deer Jet has opened a Tianmao web store, allowing customers looking for empty leg flights to book them directly from the high-end brand’s website.

An empty leg becomes available when a charter flight is booked as a one way flight. The aircraft then needs to position back to base – or onto it’s next destination to pick up passengers – so operators often try and fill these flights by offering discounted flight prices.
The Tianmao store, which is a high-end spin off from the global Alibaba business to consumer website, is accessible via a link on Deer Jet’s website, as well as directly from the Tianmao website.
Deer Jet intends to load its empty leg flights on the website which also advertises deals for the company’s new yacht business.
Deer Jet also advertises its empty leg flights via a dedicated Linkedin group.
