DC Aviation expands fleet responding to rising demand
DC Aviation has added a Falcon 2000LXS to its fleet to meet increased charter demand. The DC Aviation Group fleet now comprises seven ultra-long-range and 12 long-range jets as well as seven medium-range jets and two helicopters.
The latest addition, the Falcon 2000LXS, is a long-range aircraft with a range of 4,000 nm (7408 km), making it possible to fly non-stop from Berlin to New York or from London to Dubai.
Its cabin, with a standing height of 1.88m, seats up to 10 passengers. For nighttime flights, the seats can be transformed into two single beds and one double bed. The 2000LXS is equipped with 22 inch’ monitors, two in-seat monitors, Blue Ray, Air Show, SatCom telephones, the Falcon Cabin HD+ Management System and Internet SBB.
Michael Kuhn, CEO, DC Aviation Group, said: “With the purchase of the Falcon 2000LXS we have directly responded to the increased charter demand that has been observed over the last few months. We are very happy that with the Falcon 2000LXS we have an aircraft fully available for charter that combines high performance and reliability with maximum comfort for the passengers.”
DC Aviation has also been expanding its maintenance offering. Four or so months ago, the firm’s new state-of-the-art Wheel Shop began operation from the maintenance centre at Stuttgart Airport. The new shop offers customers a full range of services for the repair and maintenance of main and nose landing gear wheels.
Jürgen Sehne, vice president of Maintenance, DC Aviation, said, “The expansion of the Wheel Shop is an ideal addition to our portfolio of maintenance services. By carrying out repair and maintenance work on wheels in-house, idle times can be optimised for customers and costs can be saved.”
