Dassault displays Falcon 7X and 2000LX in Turkey
Dassault Aviation is displaying two business jets at the Istanbul Air Show, which will be held at Istanbul Ataturk Airport.
In Turkey, Dassault has seen an increase in the number of Falcons jets in operation in the past six years and the fleet now includes more than 20 aircraft, with a number of additional aircraft on order.
Dassault recently named AMAC Aerospace of Istanbul as an authorised Dassault service centre to serve the region’s operators.
Demand is being driven by large corporations such as Koç Holding, which flies three Falcons including the 2,000th Falcon, a Falcon 2000LX that was delivered in 2009.
Half of the regional fleet is composed of Falcon 2000’s, including the new Falcon 2000S, an entry-level derivative with exceptional short-field performance characteristics. The first Falcon 2000S off the assembly line was handed over to a Turkish firm in 2013.
A Turkish company has also ordered a new Falcon 5X very large body twinjet, unveiled by Dassault last October.
The region is expected to be a strong market for the new Falcon 8X ultra long range trijet too.
