Dassault Aviation delivers strong 2024 with higher Falcon deliveries
French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation announced its 2024 delivery and order intake figures, showcasing a strong performance for its Falcon business jets.
The company delivered 31 Falcon business jets in 2024, compared to 26 in 2023. The total deliveries were four below the full-year initial guidance of 35 at the start of the year.
In terms of orders, the manufacturer booked 26 Falcon business jet orders in 2024, building on the 23 orders received in 2023.
As of December 31, 2024, Dassault Aviation reported a strong backlog of 79 Falcon jets.
Dassault Aviation will release its full annual results on March 5, 2025.
Despite strong orderbook for 2024, Dassault will likely have to navigate a challenging landscape in 2024 with Trump administration mulling trade tariffs. Although, it remains to be seen how the tariffs will play out once Donald Trump assumes office, higher tariffs would impact foreign business jet manufacturers especially Dassault Aviation and Canada’s Bombardier.
With the US being a large bizjet market, significant tariffs could impact bizjet demand in the US.
To note, Dassault Aviation announced financial results for the first half of 2024 reporting revenue growth of 39% year-over-year to €980m compared to €827m in its Falcon segment owing to higher deliveries.
Falcon’s backlog at June 30, 2024 stood at €4.7bn as of June 30, 2024 compared to €4.6bn at the end of December 31, 2023. The company’s Falcon orderbook stood at 83, one lower than 84 as of December 31, 2023.
