Company awarded first ever STC for inflight internet in the Embraer 135LR

Constant Aviation has announced the completion of  the
Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Aircell’s cabin wireless access point
(CWAP), which provides in-cabin Wi-Fi service for Gogo Biz Inflight Internet,
in an EMB135LR aircraft.

To date, Constant Aviation has completed the Gogo Biz
Inflight Internet STC on the Gulfstream IV, the Embraer 600 and the EMB135
Corporate Shuttle. The company has five additional STC’s on the Citation X,
Beechjet 400A, Hawker 800A/XP/850XP/900XP, Phenom 300, and 737 Business Jet in
the final stages of approval with the FAA

“It is important for us to be able to offer our customers
the upgrades and modifications they are interested in. For the last year, that
has been In-flight Internet. This cabin amenity will become standard on new
aircraft deliveries going forward but I am excited that Constant Aviation is
able to provide this upgrade to current aircraft operators. With the majority
of our pending STC’s in the final stages of approval with the FAA, we will
continue to evaluate future STC projects to support our customers’ growing
needs,” said Stephen Maiden, president of Constant Aviation.
