Comlux, the transaction and completion specialist, has finished its first digital inspection on a Boeing BBJ.
The work was completed on behalf of long-term client Hyundai.

In a digital inspection all tasks cards and part tracking are entered directly into a hand-held device, rather than using an off-aircraft computer workstation. This allows maintenance supervisors to monitor progress, as well as to allocate tasks dynamically. Project managers can also see the progress and are able to give real-time updates to the client.

“Digital Maintenance is not only paperless, but a fully integrated work-order management tool. It increases reliability, eliminates potential human errors and decrease redundancies” said Scott Meyer, CEO, Comlux Completion. “All Departments can follow instantly and seamlessly the progress of the documentation, thus bringing greater efficiency and resulting in an improved data package for our customer, not possible using traditional paper methods.”

Comlux launched its ‘Comlux 3.0 innovation and technology program’ during the final quarter of 2017.

“Our BBJ was originally completed at Comlux Completion and, since then, Comlux has provided Hyundai Motor Company with a very efficient and reliable maintenance support. said Mr Choi, general manager flight team, Hyundai. “Digital maintenance is a great tool which further improves their capabilities and allows my own team to track real time the work which has been performed on our aircraft”
