Comlux America launches new STC for Challenger aircraft
Comlux America has launched a new supplemental type certificate (STC) for the Bombardier Challenger 600 series of aircraft.
Comlux America based in Indianapolis, Indiana has launched supplemental type certificate (STC) for the Bombardier Challenger 600 series of business aircraft.
The STC project installs and certifies the equipment required for operation in airspace requiring Cockpit/Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC). The system incorporates equipment from Universal Avionics Systems Corporation (UASC), International Communications Group (ICG) and L-3 Aviation Recorders.
Jim Soleo, chief executive officer of Comlux America, said: “Since our full Bombardier authorised service facility approval four years ago, the Challenger CL-600 airframes represent a robust segment of our services division.”
“Our customers have been looking for a solution that will allow them to operate in an environment that requires FANS and Link 2000+ capability. We are proud to be the first company launching this new certification and we are looking forward to offering this service to our customers,” added Seleo.
