Clyde & Co promote Kirstin MacDougall to Legal Director

Clyde & Co has promoted Kirstin MacDougall to Legal Director.

The law firm said the move was in recognition of her “talent and reputation” within aviation, particularly in the business aviation sector.

“Kirstin stands out from her peers for the quality of her work, her hard-working nature, responsiveness and dedication to achieving excellent results for our clients,” said Mark Bisset, global head of Aviation Finance. “Her promotion to Legal Director adds significant strength to Clyde & Co’s global business aviation specialist team, as well as the wider aviation group.”

The experienced asset finance lawyer joined Clyde & Co’s London Aviation Finance team last year, having previously worked in aviation finance with another large city law firm for a number of years. She has also spent a number of years as senior in-house counsel, as an asset finance specialist in both London and Singapore.

MacDougall specialises in both the commercial and business aviation sectors, often acting for lenders, lessors, owners, operators and airlines. She also advises clients on a broad range of aviation finance and leasing transactions, including financing arrangements, sale and leasebacks, operating leases, novations and PDP financing arrangements.

Although primarily focussed on aviation, MacDougall also has experience in the broader asset finance space, including equipment finance, shipping and green energy matters.
