Clay Lacy Aviation earns Sustainable Flight Department accreditation from NBAA
Clay Lacy Aviation announced that it has been awarded the Sustainable Flight Department Accreditation by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) in the Infrastructure category.
This accreditation recognises Clay Lacy Aviation’s dedication to environmentally friendly practices across its facilities and operations. The company joins a select group of approximately 30 corporate flight departments and aviation service providers worldwide that have earned this prestigious certification.
“The Sustainable Flight Department Accreditation for Infrastructure recognizes the strong commitment Clay Lacy Aviation has made to ensure its facilities and operations are using the most environmentally friendly practices available to conduct its business,” said LaKisha Dillingham, credentialing manager at NBAA. “We celebrate this outstanding achievement and hope it inspires others to work toward the goal of a more sustainable industry.”
The Sustainable Flight Department Accreditation program evaluates business aviation entities on four key areas: flight, operations, ground support, and infrastructure.
Clay Lacy Aviation is one of only eight companies globally, and the first FBO, to receive accreditation for infrastructure.
“This accreditation was the result of our long-term, holistic strategy for more sustainable operations,” said Scott Cutshall, president for Clay Lacy’s real estate & sustainability. “We’re honored to receive this recognition, and are committed to driving sustainable practices in business aviation.”
In recognition of its efforts, Clay Lacy Aviation has received numerous awards and certifications, including the Van Nuys Airport’s “Friendly Flyer” noise reduction award, the 4AIR sustainability rating for Facilities Neutral, and recognition as a leading green power user by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Earlier in August, Clay Lacy was also recognised by Los Angeles World Airports as part of its Fly Friendly Program at Van Nuys Airport for the eighth time since the programme began in 2012.
